Internal Medicine of Greater New Haven, LLC (IMGNH) has partnered with Chase Medical Research, LLC, a leader in dedicated research sites, to offer multi-therapeutic clinical trials to patients in greater New Haven.

The clinical research site in Hamden at 1952 Whitney Avenue (adjacent to the IMGNH office)  is currently enrolling patients in a variety of clinical trials and is staffed with experienced clinical research coordinators and physician investigators with a focus on quality and caring.

You may qualify to participate in one of our current clinical research trials of an investigational medication or one of our future trials.  There is no cost to you and you may also be compensated for travel.


We are currently recruiting participants for the diagnoses listed below at the Hamden location.  


This trial is for patients who are 18 years of age or older, have an elevated LDL-C ("bad" cholesterol), are statin-intolerant and have or are at high risk for cardiovascular disease.

Type 1 Diabetes 

This trial is for patients who are 18-75 years old, are currently on a basal and bolus insulin regimen and have an HbA1c less than 11.0%.

Type 2 Diabetes (2 studies)

  • One trial is for type 2 diabetic patients who are 18 years of age or older, are currently on a basal insulin regimen with oral anti-diabetic medication(s), have an HbA1c between 7.5% and 10%, and are either Hispanic,  African American or Asian. 
  • One trial is for type 2 diabetic patients, at high cardiovascular risk, who are 18 years of age or older and have an HbA1c greater than 7%.


This trial is for patients who are 18-80 years old, have a documented history of physician-diagnosed asthma and require inhaled asthma maintenance therapy. 


This trial is for patients who are 18-85 years old, who present within 72 hours of onset of flu symptoms and test positive for Influenza A infection.
