Why Clinical Trials?

A clinical research study (also known as a clinical trial) is designed to help medical research learn more about disease and improve health care for people in the future, such as evaluating the safety and efficacy of an investigational drug for a disease or condition. These research studies explore ways to treat, diagnose or manage symptoms for diseases with the hope that they will improve quality of life for patients. Study-related care is provided at no cost. Clinical trials offer a chance to help researchers find better treatments for others in the future.
